Also in the opening heat was American <strong>Kate Douglass,<\/strong> who was third in the heat and is the fourth overall seed in the final at 2:23.79.<\/p>\n<p>In between is the winner of the second heat, <strong>Kotryna Teterevkova<\/strong> of Lithuania, with a time of 2:23.79.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.omegatiming.com\/2022\/19th-fina-world-championships-sw-live-results\">Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-how-to-watch-swimming-action-plus-key-links\/\">How to Watch &amp; Key Links<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 200 swim was a big one for Strauch, who finished 10th <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-benedetta-pilato-touches-out-elendt-meilutyte-for-100-breast-world-title-lilly-king-fourth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in the 100 breast in Budapest<\/a>. She was ninth in Tokyo to miss out on the final.<\/p>\n<p>King is in some ways the favorite and in some ways the underdog in this race. She won silver in the 200 in Tokyo behind world-record holder <strong>Tatjana Schoenmaker.<\/strong> With the South African absent, <strong>Annie Lazor<\/strong> qualifying only for the 100 and <strong>Evgenia Chikunova<\/strong> banned as part of the Russian international exclusion, King is the only top-five Olympic finisher in the field.<\/p>\n<p>King was disqualified in the event at the 2019 World Championships, and she is <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/iu-swim-coach-says-lilly-184513631.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported only at about 80 percent<\/a>, per her coach, after finishing fourth in the 100 breast. She snuck into that final only after finishing ninth and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-annie-lazor-disqualification-upheld-lilly-king-remains-in-100-breaststroke-final\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">seeing teammate and training partner Lazor disqualified<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Like the Tokyo final, two British swimmers are represented. <strong>Molly Renshaw<\/strong> is the sixth seed, with <strong>Abbie Wood<\/strong> seventh. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-lilly-king-notches-no-2-time-of-200-breaststroke-prelims-kelsey-wog-leads-pace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">top seed from prelims<\/a>, Canadian <strong>Kelsey Wog,<\/strong> is fifth in 2:23.82. The final spot in finals went to Italian <strong>Francesca Fangio<\/strong> by .03 over Sweden\u2019s <strong>Sophie Hansson.<\/strong> Hansson was 10th in Tokyo to miss the final.<\/p>\n<p>Fourteenth in the race was South Korea\u2019s <strong>Sua Moon<\/strong> in 2:26.64.
