The South African, winner of four world titles, did not appear for the 200 butterfly prelims on Monday morning, an event in which he won Olympic gold at London 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Swimming World learned he felt unwell before the heats <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-kristof-milak-ominous-as-he-sets-the-pace-in-200-fly-chad-le-clos-a-no-show\/\">which were headed by Olympic champion<\/a> <strong>Kristof Milak<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the 30-year-old has withdrawn from the meet at the Duna Arena where he won 200 fly gold in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Le Clos didn&#8217;t appear in the 50 or 200 and he will now miss the 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jace Naidoo, president of Swimming South Africa<\/strong>, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The (team) manager has confirmed that he (Le Clos) has a medical (condition) and has withdrawn from all his events.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s unclear what this means for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.birmingham2022.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Commonwealth Games<\/strong><\/a> with Le Clos scheduled to represent South Africa in Birmingham with the pool
