﻿{"id":506668,"date":"2022-06-17T12:26:37","date_gmt":"2022-06-17T19:26:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=506668"},"modified":"2022-06-17T12:26:37","modified_gmt":"2022-06-17T19:26:37","slug":"world-championships-how-to-watch-swimming-action-plus-key-links","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-how-to-watch-swimming-action-plus-key-links\/","title":{"rendered":"World Championships: How to Watch Swimming Action Plus Key Links"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>World Championships: How to Watch Swimming Action Plus Key Links<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 19th edition of the FINA World Championships will begin Saturday in Budapest, with swimming competition at the Duna Arena highlighting the first eight days. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/fina-president-husain-al-musallam-hosts-opening-press-conference-of-2022-world-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FINA President\u00a0<strong>Husain <\/strong><strong>Al-Musallam<\/strong> and executive director\u00a0<strong>Brent Nowicki<\/strong> opened the event with a formal press conference Friday<\/a>, and the first heats will be in the water beginning at 9 a.m. local time Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Fans around the world can watch the action in swimming and the other aquatic disciplines, including water polo, artistic swimming, diving and open water swimming. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fina.org\/where-to-watch\/america\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FINA has listed the various networks broadcasting the competition<\/a>, while some events are available via FINA&#8217;s website. In the United States, swimming finals will be broadcast by NBC Sports. Finals begin at 6 p.m. local time, so live daily coverage in the U.S. begins at 12 p.m. EDT (9 a.m. PDT). NBC will also air a highlights package on its broadcast network beginning at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 26. Action from other sports plus swimming prelims will be available on FINA&#8217;s website.<\/p>\n<p>Other homes for the World Championships include Nine Network in Australia, BBC in Great Britain and CBC in Canada.
