World Championships: How to Watch Swimming Action Plus Key Links<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 19th edition of the FINA World Championships will begin Saturday in Budapest, with swimming competition at the Duna Arena highlighting the first eight days. FINA President\u00a0Husain <\/strong>Al-Musallam<\/strong> and executive director\u00a0Brent Nowicki<\/strong> opened the event with a formal press conference Friday<\/a>, and the first heats will be in the water beginning at 9 a.m. local time Saturday.<\/p>\n

Fans around the world can watch the action in swimming and the other aquatic disciplines, including water polo, artistic swimming, diving and open water swimming. FINA has listed the various networks broadcasting the competition<\/a>, while some events are available via FINA’s website. In the United States, swimming finals will be broadcast by NBC Sports. Finals begin at 6 p.m. local time, so live daily coverage in the U.S. begins at 12 p.m. EDT (9 a.m. PDT). NBC will also air a highlights package on its broadcast network beginning at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 26. Action from other sports plus swimming prelims will be available on FINA’s website.<\/p>\n

Other homes for the World Championships include Nine Network in Australia, BBC in Great Britain and CBC in Canada. As with the United States, anything not broadcasted will then be available to watch via FINA.<\/p>\n
