In our last poll, we wanted to know:\u00a0<strong>How Many Gold Medals Will Caeleb Dressel Win At Worlds?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> had an incredible showing at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2022-phillips-66-international-team-trials\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. Team Trials<\/a> last month in Greensboro, N.C.<\/p>\n<p>Dressel started trials with a win in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/caeleb-dressel-plenty-left-in-the-tank-after-first-two-wins-in-greensboro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">100 freestyle<\/a>, touching the wall .25 seconds ahead of runner-up <strong>Brooks Curry<\/strong>. Dressel continued to impress on day two in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/u-s-international-team-trials-caeleb-dressel-downs-u-s-open-record-in-50-fly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">50 butterfly<\/a>, claiming his second win at the meet.<\/p>\n<p>Moving forward to the 100 butterfly, Dressel nearly broke the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/u-s-international-team-trials-caeleb-dressel-nearly-breaks-50-in-100-butterfly-prelims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">50 mark<\/a> in prelims finishing 50.01. He went on to win the title later in the evening but added .19 to his final swim time. Dressel left team trials with his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/u-s-international-team-trials-caeleb-dressel-tops-michael-andrew-in-50-freestyle-for-fourth-victory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fourth victory<\/a> in the 50 freestyle, .16 ahead of<strong> Michael Andrew. <\/strong>He also set a new U.S. Open record with that 50 free time of 21.29.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Of the four golds Dressel walked away with, he also holds the world record in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fina.org\/swimming\/records?recordCode=WR&amp;eventTypeId=&amp;region=&amp;countryId=&amp;gender=M&amp;pool=LCM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">100 butterfly<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dressel coming off an incredible performance is also keeping things in perspective when it comes to racing. He&#8217;s opened up about his struggles with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/my-body-is-done-caeleb-dressel-opens-up-on-tokyo-struggles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">panic attacks<\/a> and how he has fallen short of goals he&#8217;s set for himself. Between his training regimen and openness about his struggles, Dressel comes off as having a clear mindset for Worlds.
