NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Virginia has picked up a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2023 from Junior National qualifier Lainey Mullins\u00a0<\/strong>of Hockessin, Delaware.<\/p>\n

She will join Tess Howley<\/strong><\/a>, Cavan Gormsen<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Maggie Schalow<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Charlottesville as a member of the Hoos\u2019 Class of 2027.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am SO grateful and excited to share my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Virginia! I want to give a big thank you to my family, friends, and coaches for all of their support! Go Hoos!!\"?\"\"?\"\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mullins does her club swimming with the Suburban Seahawks and placed 19th in the 200m fly in a lifetime best of 2:12.75 at the Phillips 66 International Team Trials. She earned bronze in the 500 free at the NCSA Championships in March before going on to win the 200 free and 200 fly at Middle Atlantic Seniors.<\/p>\n
