It\u2019s sparked not just a tremendous athletic feat, but a documentary film recapping the achievement.<\/p>\n<p>Corcoran\u2019s latest athletic feat for charity, a circumnavigation of Ireland in 2019, is the basis for a new documentary film, Unsinkable.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/674381953?h=b38cc06301\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marathonman.co\/story-so-far\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Corcoran embarked on this journey<\/a> after a stroke suffered by his father, Milo, in 2016. (Milo died three weeks later, due to complications from cancer.) His first foray into endurance sports came in 2012, when he ran 35 marathons in 35 days at age 21. He tells the story of that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/1838365001\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1634&amp;creative=6738&amp;creativeASIN=1838365001&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=marathonman-21&amp;linkId=625ed5e1e4ad6f74d3aac39a2921036a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">experience in his book<\/a>, <em>Marathon Man.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In 2019, he came up with the idea to swim the length of Ireland, a distance of some 500 kilometers. The swam started in Giant\u2019s Causeway in County Antrim and spanned to his home in County Waterford. He made his first attempt in 2017, making it through 210 kilometers, then completed the swim in 2019. Corcoran has raised more than \u20ac45,000 for charity.<\/p>\n<p>Footage from that adventure has become the 52-minute film &#8220;Unsinkable&#8221;. Corcoran is debutting the film this spring, having submitted it to several festivals, as part of a 12-month world tour.
