The 2022 U.S. International Team Trials continues from Greensboro Aquatic Center with the Day 4 finals.<\/p>\n

After Day 3 featured a world record and two American records, fast times during the Day 4 prelims point to another fast finals session with World Championships spots on the line.<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s 400 predictably saw Katie Ledecky t<\/strong>ake the top seed, while Leah Smith<\/strong> was second. They look poised to make the team in the event, but Bella Sims, Hali Flickinger, Claire Weinstein<\/strong> and Katie Grimes<\/strong> are also in the loaded final.<\/p>\n

The men\u2019s 400 free will see Luke Hobson<\/strong> and Trey Freeman<\/strong> as the top qualifiers, while Keiran Smith<\/strong> will be looming.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Day 4 Finals Heat Sheets<\/a><\/p>\n

The women\u2019s 100 breaststroke, as expected, saw Lilly King a<\/strong>s the top qualifier, with NCAA champion Kaitlyn Dobler<\/strong> and a trio of Olympians \u2014\u00a0Annie Lazor, Lydia Jacoby<\/strong> and Alex Walsh<\/strong> \u2014 right on their heels. It should be a fast and exciting final at the International Team Trials.<\/p>\n

The men\u2019s 100 breaststroke was extremely fast in the prelims with Michael Andrew<\/strong> touching gin 58.78. Meanwhile, Nic Fink<\/strong> will aim to be that fast as well.<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s 100 backstroke, as anticipated, is a loaded field with five Olympians plus an NCAA champion in the top eight for the evening. Regan Smit<\/strong>h posted the fastest time in the world this year to take the top seed and will look to hold onto it as Rhyan White, Phoebe Bacon<\/strong> and a slew of top names look to keep pace.<\/p>\n

The men\u2019s 100 backstroke also is loaded with Justin Ress, Ryan Murphy, Shaine Casas<\/strong> and Hunter Armstrong<\/strong> all going 53-mid or lower. It could be the closest finish of any of the finals so far.<\/p>\n
