ACC Scorer Emily Trieschmann Transferring from Florida State to Nova Southeastern<\/strong><\/p>\n

ACC Scorer Emily Trieschmann has announced her intention to transfer to Division II Nova Southeastern University.\u00a0<\/span>Trieschmann spent one season at Florida State<\/a> and was part of the Seminoles\u2019 seventh-place 800 freestyle relay at the ACC Championships. She also swam the 200, 500, and 1650 free at the meet, with her highest placing coming in the mile, where she placed 23rd.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lakeworth, Florida native will join incoming freshmen Bethany Weber and Hanna DeGrace at the Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based school in the fall.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding her transfer, she said:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am beyond excited to announce that I am transferring to Nova Southeastern University! I am thankful for my experience at FSU and I would not have made it through without the support from @_matthewgearing, @carrington_fsu_swim, @sparker19, and @rob_zamorano. I am very grateful for the support of my family and friends. I wish FSU the best of luck and I am excited to be a shark.?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Trieschmann swam for one of the top high schools in the country, Saint Andrew\u2019s School in Boca Raton, Florida. While she did not compete during her senior year due to injury, she was FHSAA 1A state champion in the 200 free (1:47.84) and runnerup in the 500 free (4:48.57) as a junior.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
