This is the Swim Poll of the Week for Thursday, April 21, 2022, sponsored by Strechcordz Swim Training Products<\/a>. In our last poll, we wanted to know: \u00a0Should graduate swimmers stay with their undergraduate programs, or is transferring okay?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Swimmers using their last years of eligibility in a new program is nothing new. Most recently, Olympic swimmer Maggie Mac Neil<\/a> announced she would be leaving Michigan for California as a graduate transfer.<\/p>\n

USC also saw graduate transfer success with Calypso Sheridan<\/strong><\/a>. Sheridan left Northwestern and helped USC achieve great results at this year’s past PAC-12 championships<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Texas men also had a graduate transfer bring them success this season. Cameron Auchinachie\u00a0<\/strong>was a part of the winning 400 freestyle relay<\/a> at NCAA’s this past year. Auchinachie transferred<\/a> from the University of Denver and was a large influence in the sprinting group.<\/p>\n

These three are not the first to be graduate transfers and certainly not the last. The two graduate transfers at their new programs certainly made a splash this past year. Mac Neil as well brings an impressive resume with her to the west coast. While she will be missed in the Big-10 it’s always exciting to see talent of that level shine in different conferences.<\/p>\n
