USA Swimming Foundation Names Lucinda McRoberts Executive Director<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lucinda McRoberts<\/strong> has been named the executive director of the USA Swimming Foundation, the organization announced Thursday.<\/p>\n

As the director of USA Swimming\u2019s philanthropic arm, she will manage the staff of the foundation and work with its board of directors and trustee council. The USA Swimming Foundation\u2019s mission is geared toward the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics in Los Angeles. Among its many functions is to provide access and funding to swimmers from learn-to-swim through the U.S. national team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am tremendously grateful for this opportunity to work with some of the sport\u2019s biggest supporters,\u201d McRoberts said in a press release<\/a>. \u201cThe USA Swimming Foundation already has a phenomenal board of directors and supporting staff, and I will do my best to facilitate their continued success. There is no more important work in swimming than the Foundation\u2019s mission of saving lives, building champions, and impacting communities.\u201d<\/p>\n

McRoberts is USA Swimming\u2019s Chief Administration Officer, where she oversees the Business Affairs Unit. She will continue in both roles. A graduate of Yale and the University of Michigan Law School, McRoberts took that job in 2021. She joined USA Swimming in 2014<\/a> as its first Chief Counsel and Director of Legal Affairs. In 2016, she became the Secretary and General Counsel.<\/p>\n
