NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill has added a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2023 from\u00a0Lucy Walker\u00a0<\/strong>of Dobbs Ferry, New York.<\/p>\n

She will join Michaela Chokureva<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Maren Conze<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Ava Muzzy<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0as a member of the Tar Heels\u2019 Class of 2027.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m incredibly excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill!! I chose UNC for the combination of elite athletics and amazing academic opportunities. A huge thank you to my family, friends, and coaches who have helped me pursue my dreams. I can\u2019t wait to be a Tar Heel!! GO HEELS!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Walker does her club swimming with Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester (BGNW) and placed 14th in the 200 free at Juniors East back in December and more recently competed at the NCSA Championships. She raced to 10th in both the 100m free and 200m free last summer at Richmond Futures.<\/p>\n
