NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Kentucky has successfully kept local product Alex Ochsenbein<\/strong> of Lexington in-state for his college career, as the junior verbally committed to the Wildcats for the fall of 2023.<\/p>\n

He will join\u00a0Josh Fisher<\/strong><\/a>, Lance Johnson<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0AJ Abram<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Isaac Fleig<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Lexington in the fall of 2023.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“Thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Kentucky! I\u2019d like to thank my friends, my family, and all the coaches that have helped me become the athlete I am today. And with that said, GO CATS??”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented breaststroker, Ochsenbein does his club swimming with Premier Aquatics of Central Kentucky and most recently placed third in the 200 breast at the Kentucky 13&O Championships. A Junior National qualifier, he also achieved four best times at the Southern Premier Invitational and raced three events at Juniors East.<\/p>\n
