This time, Conceicao was a tenth off her time, but still a quarter-second better than the field. She clocked in at 30.51 seconds, well under the FINA A cut of 31.22.<\/p>\n<p>Second was <strong>Ana Carolina Viera<\/strong> in 31.28. <strong>Pamela Alencar de Souza<\/strong> was also under 32 seconds at 31.64.<\/p>\n<p>Gomes Junior finished second to <strong>Felipe Franca Silva<\/strong> in the 100 breast, but he got the better of the battle of 30-somethings on Wednesday. Gomes Junior won in 26.62 seconds, well under the FINA A standard of 27.33. Franca Silva was second in 27.11. Third was <strong>Caio Pumputis<\/strong> in 27.62.<\/p>\n<p>The other A cut of the night came from <strong>Viviane Jungblut<\/strong> in the 1,500 free. The Brazilian record holder set a Brazilian competition record by going 16:19.62, 5.62 seconds slower than her national mark from last summer but well under the A standard of 16:29.57.<\/p>\n<p>Also under that time was <strong>Beatriz Dizotti,<\/strong> who went 16:25.95 in second.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matheus Gonche<\/strong> also booked a ticket to Budapest with his swim in the men\u2019s 200 butterfly. He used a stellar first 100 to get to the wall first in 1:56.30, just under the FINA standard of 1:56.71. Second was <strong>Kaue da Silva Carvalho<\/strong> in 1:56.92, his charge in the second half not enough to crack the time cut. <strong>Leonardo de Deus,<\/strong> slightly outside his usual backstroke wheelhouse, finished third in 1:57.19.<\/p>\n<p>The winner in the women\u2019s 200 fly was <strong>Giovanna Diamante<\/strong> in 2:12.32, more than three seconds outside of the time
