{"id":501948,"date":"2022-04-02T11:22:10","date_gmt":"2022-04-02T18:22:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=501948"},"modified":"2022-04-02T11:22:10","modified_gmt":"2022-04-02T18:22:10","slug":"anna-elendt-adds-german-200m-breaststroke-record-to-100-mark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/anna-elendt-adds-german-200m-breaststroke-record-to-100-mark\/","title":{"rendered":"Anna Elendt Adds German 200m Breaststroke Record To 100 Mark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Anna Elendt<\/strong> went 2:24.63 in the 200m breaststroke to set her third German record of the week at the <strong>2022 Pro Swim Series<\/strong>\u00a0meet in\u00a0<strong>San Antonio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Elendt lowered the previous national record of 2:25.00 held by <strong>Jessica Steiger<\/strong> since the 2017 German Championships en-route to finishing second behind <strong>Lilly King<\/strong> who went 2:23.69.<\/p>\n<p>The 20-year-old had already taken <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/anna-elendt\/\">almost a second off her national 100br mark<\/a> of 1:06.50 when she cracked 1:06 for the first time in 1:05.96 in the prelims.<\/p>\n<p>The three-time 2018 European junior medallist was not done there though, further lowering her time to 1:05.58 in the final which would have secured last year&#8217;s European title.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anna Elendt went 2:24.63 in the 200m breaststroke to set her third German record of the week at the 2022 Pro Swim Series\u00a0meet in\u00a0San Antonio.
