KNOXVILLE, Tennessee, February 21. THE Liberty women are in first place with 264 points after the second day of the 2014 Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Swimming and Diving Championships contested Thursday at the University of Tennessee\u2019s Allan Jones Aquatic Center.<\/p>\n

Florida Gulf Coast is second with 238 points and Incarnate Word is third with 154 points. Georgia Southern is fourth with 147 points, while Davidson is fifth with 134 points. Gardner-Webb is alone in sixth with 105 points and Campbell is in seventh with 100 points. Behind Campbell is North Florida with 89 points and Howard is ninth with 58 points. Radford is alone in 10th place, while VMI and UNC Asheville are tied for 11th place with 36 points. Rounding out the standings is North Carolina A&T with 22 points.<\/p>\n

In the 500-yard freestyle Davidson freshman Elise Lankiewicz took first-place with a time of 4:48.65. Liberty\u2019s Heather McCorkel finished second with a mark of 4:48.87. Lani Cabrera of Florida Gulf Coast touched third with a time of 4:49.88.<\/p>\n

Liberty\u2019s Emilie Kaufman won the women\u2019s 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:00.40 which was just a fraction off of the conference and meet record (2:00.29) she set in the preliminaries earlier in the day. Kylie Warne of Campbell finished second with an NCAA \u201cB\u201d cut of 2:01.70. In third-place, touching in at 2:03.84 was Samantha Rahael of Florida Gulf Coast.<\/p>\n

Winning the 50-yard freestyle was FGCU\u2019s Emma Svensson with a NCAA \u201cB\u201d cut time of 22.61. Lana Nguyen of the University of the Incarnate Word finished in second-place with a time of 22.95. Liberty\u2019s Jess Reinhardt finished third with a mark of 23.01<\/p>\n

In the one-meter diving event, Kali Lents of UIW took first-place by posting a meet record of 292.70. Kaliya Burton-Akright tallied 265.55 points to finish in second place. Incarnate Word\u2019s Kim Foster finished third with a total score of 263.90.<\/p>\n

In the 200-yard freestyle the Florida Gulf Coast team of Emma Svensson, Sara Hamilton, Christina Tanninen and Kira Toussaint finished in first place with a time 1:30.24. In second place was Liberty (Jess Reinhardt, Cori Gary, Chloe Thomas and Meghan Babcock) with a mark of 1:30.94, while Davidson\u2019s (Eric Clancy, Elise Lankiewicz, Angie Healy and Kassie Shannon) touched third with a time of 1:33.01.<\/p>\n

The CCSA Championship will continue with the third day of action on Friday, Feb. 21 at 10:00 a.m., starting with the women\u2019s 400-yard individual medley preliminaries. The event finals for day three will start at 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
