THE New Hampshire State High School Championships took place in Durham during the weekend with four new divisional team title winners being named, as well as a handful of state records.<\/p>\n<p><b>DIVISION I<\/b><br \/>\nWhile the Bedford High girls dominated their division with 246 points against Bishop Guertin&#8217;s 180.5 for second, the Exeter boys had a much closer contest on their hands with a 232-230 victory agianst Bishop Guertin.<\/p>\n<p>Dover&#8217;s Sarah Wydra, Ella Tesch, Julia DeGregorio and Cassidy Black downed the girls 200-yard medley relay state record with a winning time of 1:53.54. That swim undercut the previous mark of 1:54.17 set by St. Thomas well back in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Exeter&#8217;s Kellen Gray, Patrick Carginan, Zachary Bishop and James Mundy followed with a 1:38.71 in the boys 200-yard medley relay to crush the field and the state record of 1:42.17 set by Exeter just a year ago. Exter then closed out the team title win with a blazing 3:17.55 from Bishop, Ethan Vander Woude, Gray and Mundy in the boys 400-yard free relay. That performance obliterated the field by more than seven seconds, and demolished the 2012 record of 3:21.28 set by Concord.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Concord&#8217;s Alaina Pribis took home the girls 200-yard free title in 1:55.22, while Nashua North&#8217;s Oliver French topped the boys 200-yard free in 1:45.17, just clipping Exeter&#8217;s Bishop (1:45.19) for the title.<\/p>\n<p>Manchester Central&#8217;s Elizabeth Aldrich raced her way to the girls 200-yard IM crown in 2:09.56, while Winnacunnet&#8217;s Connar Patterson checked in with a 1:57.55 to win the boys 200-yard IM title. Alvirne&#8217;s Lauren Somers followed with a 25.27 to win the girls 50-yard free with Bishop Guertin&#8217;s Joseph Moleski taking the boys 50-yard free crown in 22.21. Exeter&#8217;s James Mundy placed just behind with a 22.23.<\/p>\n<p>Dover&#8217;s Julia Degregorio stopped the clock in 57.61 to win the girls 100-yard fly before Patterson doubled up for Winnacunnet with a 52.16 to win the boys 100-yard fly. Somers swept the sprint frees for Alvirne with a 54.18 in the 100-yard free, while Bishop Guertin&#8217;s Moleski also doubled up on the sprints with a 48.43 to win the boys 100-yard free title.<\/p>\n<p>Concord&#8217;s Pribis added the 500-yard free to her 200-yard free title with a 5:03.85, smoking the rest of the field by more than 15 seconds. Nashua North&#8217;s Oliver French picked up the boys 500-yard free title in 4:42.70.<\/p>\n<p>During the 200 free relay swims, Bishop Guertin&#8217;s Caroline Shusta, Kathryn Mahoney, Hannah Boyce and Jane Winarta topped the girls race in 1:44.89, while their teammates Kurt Iske, Brandon Conceicao, Kendrick Rubino and Joseph Moleski raced to a 1:31.77 to win the boys relay.<\/p>\n<p>Dover&#8217;s Sarah Wydra then tied Merrimack&#8217;s Katherin Brennan with matching 59.41s to win the girls 100-yard back before Exeter&#8217;s Gray stopped the clock in 52.80 to top the boys 100-yard back. Bedford&#8217;s Natalie Giraldi won the girls 100-yard breast in 1:08.17 with Dover&#8217;s Eldridge claiming the boys 100-yard breast crown in 1:05.66.<\/p>\n<p>Bedford&#8217;s Kasey Gamache, Mackenzie Kearns, Peninah Levine and Natalie Giraldi put an exclamation mark on the team victory for the girls with a 3:47.28 in the girls 400-yard free relay.<\/p>\n<p>In diving action, Bedford&#8217;s Rachel Byrne won the girls one-meter with 221.45 points, while Bishop Guertin&#8217;s David Pfeifer tallied 284.45 points to win the boys one-meter event.<\/p>\n<p><b>Girls<\/b><br \/>\n1. Londonderry 101.5<\/p>\n<p><b>DIVISION II<\/b><br \/>\nOyster River&#8217;s Tessa Oakes, Audrey Duvall, Sydnee Aubin and Haley Jones set a state record in the girls 200-yard medley relay with a 1:52.52, while St. Thomas Aquinas&#8217; Kyra Sarazen hit the wall in 55.47 to down the state record in the girls 100-yard back. Sarazen doubled up with a state record 2:03.71 in the 200-yard IM as well.<\/p>\n<p>Derryfield&#8217;s Molly Fitzpatrick shot down the state record in the girls 100-yard breast with a 1:04.89, while Oyster River&#8217;s Haley Jones, Charlotte Moore, Sydnee Aubin and Tessa Oakes also lowered the state record in the girls 400-yard free relay with a 3:43.47.<\/p>\n<p>Hanover&#8217;s Elisabeth Brechbuhl crushed the field in the 200-yard free with a winning time of 1:53.98, while Souhegan&#8217;s Tyler Howard claimed the boys 200-yard free title in 1:48.23. Souhegan&#8217;s Alexander Bedard hit the wall in 1:59.67 to claim the boys 200-yard IM.<\/p>\n<p>St. Thomas Aquinas&#8217; Sophie Kenny captured the girls 50-yard free with a 25.59 before teammate Jack Gentes posted a 22.74 to win the boys 50-yard free. Windham&#8217;s Connor Hopkins finished a close second in the boys 50-yard free with a 22.76.<\/p>\n<p>Trinity&#8217;s Noelle Theodoulou raced her way to a win in the girls 100-yard fly with a 59.01, while Oyster River&#8217;s Matt Jones picked up the boys 100-yard fly crown in 52.60. Campbell&#8217;s Grant Levasseur came in a close second with a 52.67.<\/p>\n<p>Derryfield&#8217;s Emma Wagner snared the girls 100-yard free title in 55.08, while Gentes swept the sprint frees with a 50.41 for St. Thomas Aquinas. Brechbuhl doubled up off her 200 free state record with a winning time of 5:03.79 in the 500 free, winning by more than 14 seconds. Howard added to his 200 free title with a 4:58.68 in the 500-yard free. Jones then topped the boys 100-yard back in 53.65 for the win, while Bedard claimed the boys 100-yard breast in 58.91.<\/p>\n<p>Hollis\/Brookline&#8217;s Austin McCalmont, Matt Falcone, Tom Regan and Jacob Solon topped the boys 200-yard medley relay in 1:45.25. St. Thomas Aquinas&#8217; Amelia Snyder, Brianne Terrance, Sophie Kenny and Kyra Sarazen won the girls 200-yard free relay in 1:43.87, while Hollis\/Brookline&#8217;s Austin McCalmont, Matt Falcone, Jacob Solon and Tom Regan clocked a 1:36.66 to win the boys 200-yard free relay.<\/p>\n<p>Oyster River closed out the boys team title when Chris Rouleau, Drew Thibault, Brian Stevens and Matt Jones won the boys 400-yard free relay in 3:32.42.<\/p>\n<p>Only four divers from Osyter River&#8217;s women&#8217;s team competed with Emily Howard winning the one-meter title with 139.15 points.<\/p>\n<p><b>Girls<\/b><br \/>\n1.
