He finished in 1:39.36 to finish about a half second ahead of the close field.<\/p>\n<p>In a huge move, Cal took seeds 2-3-4-5-6 as the Golden Bears look to catch Stanford on the final day.<\/p>\n<p>Cal senior <strong>Daniel Carr<\/strong> took the second seed (1:39.71), ahead of sophomore <strong>Destin Lasco<\/strong> (1:40.22), junior <strong>Sebastian Somerset<\/strong> (1:40.70), senior <strong>Bryce Mefford<\/strong> (1:41.29) and junior <strong>Colby Mefford<\/strong> (1:41.49).<\/p>\n<p>USC freshman <strong>Evangelos Makrygianni<\/strong>s took the seventh spot (1:41.86) ahead of Stanford freshman <strong>Aaron Sequeira<\/strong> (1:41.94).<\/p>\n<pre><b> Event 17  Men 200 Yard four in the finals to continue their push toward Stanford, which did not put anyone in the 100 free finals.<\/p>\n<p>Cal sophomore<strong> Bjorn Seeliger<\/strong> and freshman <strong>Jack Alexy<\/strong> each touched the all in 41.77 to tie for the top seed heading into tonight&#8217;s final.<\/p>\n<p>Cal&#8217;s <strong>Matthew Jensen<\/strong> took the fifth spot (42.52) and<strong> Robin Hanson<\/strong> took the seventh seed (42.57).<\/p>\n<p>Arizona State put three in the finals as senior <strong>Grant House<\/strong> took the third seed (42.15), senior <strong>Carter Swift<\/strong> took the fourth seed (42.30) and<strong> Jack Dolan<\/strong> took the sixth spot (42.53).<\/p>\n<pre><b>Event 18  Men 100 Yard 200 breaststroke and putting three in the finals.<\/p>\n<p>Cal senior <strong>Reece Whitley<\/strong> took the top spot in 1:50.57, nearly a second ahead of the field and about two seconds off of his own Pac-12 record.<\/p>\n<p>Senior teammate <strong>Hugo Gonzalez<\/strong> took the second seed in 1:51.27. The top two spots were &#8220;A&#8221; cuts.<\/p>\n<p>Stanford senior <strong>Daniel Roy<\/strong> took the third spot in 1:52.37 ahead of USC freshman <strong>Chris O&#8217;Grady <\/strong>(1:52.66), Arizona State freshman <strong>Leon Marchand<\/strong> (1:52.97), who tied with Cal&#8217;s <strong>Jason Lauser for the fifth seed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>USC sophomore <strong>Ben Dillard<\/strong> took the seventh seed in 1:53.77, followed by Stanford freshman <strong>Ron<\/strong> <strong>Polonsky<\/strong>, who snagged the eighth seed (1:54.60).<\/p>\n<pre><b>Event 19  Men 200 Yard
