{"id":498939,"date":"2022-03-05T11:47:10","date_gmt":"2022-03-05T18:47:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=498939"},"modified":"2022-03-05T11:47:10","modified_gmt":"2022-03-05T18:47:10","slug":"victories-for-florent-manaudou-and-emilien-mattenet-kristyna-horska-claims-double-in-marseille","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/victories-for-florent-manaudou-and-emilien-mattenet-kristyna-horska-claims-double-in-marseille\/","title":{"rendered":"Victories For Florent Manaudou And Emilien Mattenet; Kristyna Horska Claims Double in Marseille"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Kristyna Horska<\/strong> made two trips to the top of the podium and there were meet records for <strong>Florent Manaudou<\/strong> and <strong>Emilien Mattenet<\/strong> at the <strong>FFN Golden Tour<\/strong> at <strong>Marseille<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveffn.com\/cgi-bin\/resultats.php?competition=75815&amp;langue=fra&amp;go=epreuve&amp;epreuve=53\">Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/adam-peaty-impressive-in-winning-50-breast-at-ffn-golden-tour\/\">Day one report<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Manaudou flew to the top of the 50 fly world rankings in a meet mark of 23.31, toppling teammate <strong>Maxime Grousset<\/strong> and his time of 23.72 from last month&#8217;s meet in <strong>Nice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 400IM, Mattenet made up a deficit of 0.60secs at 350 to overhaul two-time world silver medallist <strong>David Verraszto<\/strong> and stop the clock at 4:16.75 to 4:17.41.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anna Hopkin<\/strong> went to the top of the fledgling 100 free rankings after holding off <strong>Charlotte Bonnet<\/strong> in the 100 free.<\/p>\n<p>The British swimmer was out in 25.76 &#8211; 0.40 ahead at the turn &#8211; but Bonnet ate into the lead on the second 50 with Hopkin stopping the clock in 54.14, 0.03 ahead of the Frenchwoman (54.17).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marie Wattel<\/strong> was third in 54.27 with <strong>Barbora Seemanova<\/strong> the fourth woman home inside 55secs in 54.63.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kristyna Horska<\/strong> held off the fast-finishing <strong>Panna Ugrai<\/strong> to win the women&#8217;s 200IM in 2:14.31 to 2:14.40.<\/p>\n<p>The Czech woman then returned to make up a 0.33 deficit on Lisa Mamie at the final turn win the 200m breaststroke in 2:27.42.<\/p>\n<p>Mamie, the European silver medallist, was second in 2:27.52 with <strong>Anastasia Gorbenko<\/strong> third in 2:30.28.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luke Greenbank<\/strong>, the Olympic bronze medallist, was the only man inside 2mins as he controlled the 200 backstroke throughout to win in 1:57.81.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christopher Rothbauer<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 200m breaststroke in 2:10.79 ahead of <strong>Greg Butler<\/strong> (2:11.56) and <strong>Luka Mladenovic<\/strong> (2:13.62) with <strong>Adam Peaty<\/strong> &#8211; the Olympic 100br champion &#8211; fourth in 2:14.48.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kregor Zirk<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 200 free in 1:48.94 while <strong>Sacha Velly<\/strong> took the men&#8217;s 1500 free in 15:10.79.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dora Hathazi<\/strong> came from 0.30secs down at 150 to win the women&#8217;s 100 fly in 2:11.08 while\u00a0<strong>Mary-Amber Moluh<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 50 back in 28.15.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kristyna Horska made two trips to the top of the podium and there were meet records for Florent Manaudou and Emilien Mattenet at the FFN Golden Tour at Marseille.
