Last season, Queens University won its sixth-straight titles for both women and men, and while the Queens women dominated the competition with 695 points (more than 250 ahead of second-place Drury), the men&#8217;s meet was much closer, as Queens beat Drury by a score of 561-531.<\/p>\n<p>This season, the Queens women are set to bring the most swimmers to the national championship meet. On the women&#8217;s side, Queens will have 18 swimmers, followed by Drury with 16 and Indy with 14. Queens&#8217; roster includes top seeds\u00a0<strong>Sophia Lange\u00a0<\/strong>(1000 free and 1650 free) and <strong>Monica Gumina\u00a0<\/strong>(200 free and 500 free). Colorado Mesa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lily Borgenheimer<\/strong> is the only swimmer to be the top seed in three events, the 200 IM, 400 IM and 200 breast, while Nova Southeastern&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Celina Marquez<\/strong> enters with the fastest time in both backstroke races.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s meet, Drury and Indy will each bring 16 swimmers, while Queens will attempt to win another national title with just 12 athletes in individual events. Drury is led by\u00a0<strong>Dominik Karacic<\/strong>, the top seed in the 100 fly, and <strong>Karol Ostrowski<\/strong>, seeded first in the 100 free, while Indy&#8217;s top seeds include\u00a0<strong>Cedric Buessing<\/strong> in the 400 IM and <strong>Likith Selvaraj Prema<\/strong> in the 100 breast. For Queens,\u00a0<strong>Alexander Kunert<\/strong> tops entrants in the 200 IM and 200 fly, while\u00a0<strong>Matej Dusa<\/strong> enters first in the 50 free.
