Currently, Texas lacks any serious rivals for conference supremacy, but the meet does serve as a tune-up for Texas programs with big aspirations for the upcoming NCAA Championships. Carol Capitani’s Texas women finished a very impressive third place at last year’s national meet, while Eddie Reese and the Texas men captured a 15th consecutive national title.

The meet is being held in Morgantown, West Virginia, for a second time after the conference meet was first held there in 2020.
