The Wolfpack will fight with the same teams in the men&#8217;s meet.<\/p>\n<p>The first morning session of the meet consisted of the women\u2019s and men\u2019s 500 freestyle, 200 IM and 50 freestyle before men\u2019s 1-meter diving.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia&#8217;s <strong>Kate Douglass<\/strong> and <strong>Gretchen Walsh<\/strong> highlighted the morning by tying for the ACC meet record in the 50 freestyle.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/acc-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Home<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sidearmstats.com\/acc\/swimming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/theacc.com\/sports\/swimming_diving\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Information Page<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ACC Women\u2019s 500 Freestyle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Virginia has a couple of studs in the event, but it was Louisville sophomore<strong> Liberty Williams<\/strong>, who took the top seed in the 500 free. Williams touched the wall in 4:40.53 after holding a 28-second pace until the final 50 where she went 27.90.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia freshman <strong>Emma Weyant<\/strong> was right on her heels, finishing in 4:41.39. She also had all 28 splits except for a 27.68 on the final 50, which could lead to an exciting finish in the finals.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia junior <strong>Madelyn Donohoe<\/strong> took the third seed at 4:42.50, followed by Virginia Tech\u2019s <strong>Chase Travis<\/strong> (4:42.73) and <strong>Reka Gyorgy<\/strong> (4:43.93). NC State rounded out the top eight with <strong>Yara Hierath<\/strong> (4:44.22), <strong>Katharine Foley<\/strong> (4:44.72) and Brooke Travis (4:45.06).<\/p>\n<pre><b>Event 7  Women 500 Yard freestyle.<\/p>\n<p>Junior <strong>Ross Dant<\/strong> took the top seed in 4:12.03 with only one of his 50 splits over 26 seconds. Meanwhile, sophomore <strong>John<\/strong> <strong>Gallant<\/strong> had a 24.79 closing split to touch the wall with the second seed (4:13.15). Sophomore<strong> James Plage<\/strong> took the third seed in 4:14.32), while fifth-year senior <strong>Eric Knowles<\/strong> took the fifth seed in 4:15.48, just behind Virginia Tech senior<strong> Antani Ivanov<\/strong> (4:15.02).<\/p>\n<p>Virginia\u2019s <strong>Jack Wright<\/strong> took the sixth seed (4:15.65), followed by Georgia Tech\u2019s <strong>Batur Unlu<\/strong> (4:15.66) and
