USA Water Polo this week announced the addition of Max Irving<\/strong> and Lauren \u201cLolo\u201d Silver<\/strong> to the organization\u2019s board of directors as athlete members.<\/p>\n

Both are decorated athletes in the U.S. program. Irving, 26, won a pair of NCAA titles at UCLA in 2015 and 2017. He made his Olympic debut in Tokyo with the U.S. He\u2019s been with the national team since 2017, winning gold at the 2019 Pan American Games<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The native of Long Beach has played domestically for New York Athletic Club and internationally with Greek champions Olympiacos, Hydraikos in Greece and is currently with Italian club Telimar.<\/p>\n

Lolo Silver (now Lolo Van Der Linde<\/strong>) starred at Stanford, where she was a finalist for the Cutino Award in 2008. The 35-year-old spent five years as a member of the national team, part of the squad that won a world championship in 2009. She was an alternate for the 2012 Olympics.<\/p>\n

Silver retired from international play in 2014. She continued to play domestically with NYAC and the San Diego Shores. She is a senior manager Senior Manager, Enterprise Account Management Team at Checkr, a tech company in LA that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence in executing background checks.<\/p>\n
