She was the television analyst for the Wave I Olympic Trials meet and then joined the top NBC broadcast team for select swimming races during the Wave II Olympic Trials and the Tokyo Olympics. Beisel also hosted a podcast called &#8220;In The Village&#8221; from Tokyo, and she has resumed hosting that podcast as part of NBC&#8217;s coverage of the Winter Olympics.<\/p>\n<p>Since the Winter Olympics kicked off with the Opening Ceremony Friday, Beisel has debuted two new episodes, featuring halfpipe snowboarder\u00a0<strong>Louie Vito<\/strong> and aerial skier\u00a0<strong>Winter Vinecki<\/strong>, and new episodes are expected daily for the remaining two weeks of the Olympics. In the most recent episode featuring Vinecki, Beisel asked about Vinecki&#8217;s adaptation to living in the village, how skiers travel and Vinecki becoming the youngest woman to run a marathon on every continent.<\/p>\n<p>The two also discussed Vinecki&#8217;s work raising money for prostate cancer research after she lost her father to the disease at age 10. Beisel has been similarly active in raising money for cancer research. In 2021, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/elizabeth-beisel-completes-block-island-swim-raises-more-than-130000-for-cancer-research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">she raised over $130,000 for Swim Across America through her &#8220;Block Cancer&#8221; swim<\/a> in honor of her father, who passed away earlier in the year after a cancer battle.<\/p>\n<p>During the intro to the &#8220;In the Village&#8221; podcast, Beisel said, &#8220;I am jumping the press rope to take you inside the athletes&#8217; villages, some of the most interesting and exclusive places at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games. We&#8217;ll talk to athletes whose performances are pushing the medal total on snow and ice, discussing pretty much anything and everything but actually winning medals because we want to go behind the scenes, and even Olympic heroes have to eat.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Beisel is expected to return her broadcasting focus to swimming over the next few months as she will make appearances as a race analyst during select college championship meets.<\/p>\n<p>Beisel&#8217;s podcast &#8220;In The Village&#8221;
