Louisville\u2019s <strong>Arina Openysheva<\/strong> is the Women\u2019s Swimmer of the Week. Diver of the Week honors went to <strong>Anton Down-Jenkins<\/strong> on the men\u2019s side and fellow UNC Swimmers <strong>Aranza Vazquez<\/strong> and Pitt\u2019s <strong>Amy Read<\/strong> on the women\u2019s.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/acc-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ACC Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Herbet set three Morcom Aquatics Center pool records <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/florida-state-sweeps-university-of-tampa-in-dual-meet-finale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in Florida State\u2019s win over Tampa<\/a>. The Florida native went 46.07 in the 100 backstroke, a season-best time and an NCAA B cut. He won the 200 individual medley in 1:47.35 and was part of a pool-record 200 medley relay. It\u2019s the Seminoles\u2019 first Swimmer of the Week honor, men\u2019s or women\u2019s, this season.<\/p>\n<p>Van der Laan broke the Trees Pool record in the men\u2019s 100 breaststroke in 52.21, earning an NCAA B cut at his home pool in the Western Pennsylvania Invitational. The Australian also won the 200 breast in a B cut of 1:56.41 and was part of a wining 400 medley relay squad. As a program, Pitt had only won one weekly honor this season prior to Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Openysheva helped <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/louisville-cruises-to-womens-and-mens-victories-against-cincinnati\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Louisville beat Cincinnati in a dual meet<\/a> for her second Swimmer of the Week nod of the season. The native of Russia won the 50 free in 22.44 seconds, the 100 free in 48.82 and helped the Cardinals\u2019 200 free relay go 1:27.83. That\u2019s an NCAA A cut and the sixth-fastest in the nation this season. She also anchored the winning 200 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>On the boards, Down-Jenkins tallied a sixth consecutive sweep of diving. The native of Wellington, New Zealand, won the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/north-carolina-defeats-duke-in-rivalry-showdown\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a dual meet with Duke<\/a>. He scored 388.50 on 1-meter and 407.40 on 3-meter. It\u2019s the third time this season Down-Jenkins has been named Diver of the Week.<\/p>\n<p>Vazquez won three of four diving events in the Tar Heels\u2019 dual meets with Duke and Texas. She won both times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/olivia-bray-wins-two-as-texas-women-defeat-north-carolina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">against Texas<\/a>, scoring 340.20 on 1-meter and 374.40 on 3-meter. The sophomore from Mexico also won the 3-meter competition against Duke and was the runner-up on 1-meter.<\/p>\n<p>Reed won all three events at the Western Pa. Invitational. She set a Pitt program record in platform diving with 322.50 points. The senior from Leeds, England, came within two points of her school mark in the 1-meter (325.60) and also won on 3-meter (353.40).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mason Herbet,
