On the women\u2019s side, Minnesota is in control of Iowa, 173-24, but holds a slim 104-101 edge on Northwestern. Northwestern leads Iowa, 169-25.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/purduesports.com\/documents\/2022\/1\/28\/Big_Ten_Triple_Duals_Friday_Results.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RESULTS<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Northwestern is up on both Purdue (111-93) and Minnesota (111-94). He won the 1,000 freestyle in 9:06.95. He returned to win the 200 butterfly in 1:44.80. His teammate <strong>Tyler Lu<\/strong> added a pair of top finishes, winning the 200 individual medley in 1:46.27. The Wildcats swept the top three places there, with <strong>Emils Jurcik<\/strong> and <strong>Marcus Mok<\/strong> filing in behind. Lu was also second in the 100 back to teammate <strong>Manuel Martos Bacarizo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-ten-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big Ten Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Northwestern got runner-up finishes from <strong>Ben Forbes<\/strong> in the 200 free, <strong>Kevin Houseman<\/strong> in the 100 breaststroke and <strong>Andrew Zhang<\/strong> in the 50 free. The Wildcats were also second in the medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota bookended the day with relay wins. The foursome of <strong>Casey Stowe, Max McHugh, Kaiser Neverman<\/strong> and <strong>Lucas Farrar<\/strong> opened by winning the 200 medley relay in 1:24.98. <strong>Chris Morris, Bar Soloveychik, Cameron Kelly<\/strong> and <strong>James Freeman<\/strong> went 6:29.11 to eke out a win in the 800 free relay, a race where all three A squads finished within three-quarters of a second.<\/p>\n<p>Solveychk won the 200 free in 1:36.18. McHugh did his usual bit by dominating the 100 breast to the tun of 50.58. Neverman took second place in the 200 fly with Christenson third, the same place he got in the 1,000 free, behind teammate <strong>Chris Nagy.<\/strong> Farrar was third in the 50 free.<\/p>\n<p>Purdue got its points behind the freestyle contingent. <strong>Nikola Acin<\/strong> won the 50 free in 19.67 with <strong>Brady Samuels<\/strong> fourth. Samuels, <strong>Connor McCarthy,<\/strong> Acin and <strong>Nick Sherman<\/strong> were second in the 800 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s meet started with a Northwestern 1-2 in the 200 medley relay. Top honors went to the squad of <strong>Emma Lepisova, Sophie Angus, Maddie Smith <\/strong>and <strong>Jasmine Nocentini<\/strong> in 1:37.13, .21 seconds up on the B team. Lepisova won the 100 back in 53.21, and Nocentini captured the 50 free in 21.92, .14 seconds up on Smith.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lola Mull<\/strong> added a win in the 1,000 free. <strong>Tara Vovk<\/strong> won the 100 breast in a Northwestern 1-2-3 and was second in the 200 IM. <strong>Ally Larson<\/strong> (the runner-up in the 200 free), Mull, <strong>Annika Wagner<\/strong> and Nocentini won the 800 free relay in 7:10.96.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota\u2019s big point tally came via <strong>Megan Van Berkom.<\/strong> She prevailed in the 200 fly in 1:54.72, then won the 200 IM in 1:57.31. <strong>Hannah Cornish<\/strong> won the 200 free in 1:46.09. <strong>Eliot Kennedy<\/strong> (1,000 free) and <strong>Emily Cook<\/strong> (100 back) added runner-up finishes.<\/p>\n<p>On the boards, <strong>Sarah Bacon<\/strong> swept the women\u2019s events for Minnesota with teammate <strong>Joy Zhu<\/strong> second in both. Purdue\u2019s <strong>Jordan Rzepka<\/strong> claimed both men\u2019s competitions, going 1-2 with teammate <strong>Tyler Downs<\/strong> on
