{"id":495973,"date":"2022-03-07T06:00:27","date_gmt":"2022-03-07T13:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=495973"},"modified":"2022-03-01T08:17:15","modified_gmt":"2022-03-01T15:17:15","slug":"2022-featured-swim-camp-unc-swimming-camps-northern-colorado","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2022-featured-swim-camp-unc-swimming-camps-northern-colorado\/","title":{"rendered":"2022 Featured Swim Camp: UNC Swimming Camps (Northern Colorado)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UNC Swimming Camps are hosted by the University of Northern Colorado, located in Greeley, CO.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This swim camp is designed to teach athletes the technical aspects of swimming to help them achieve success at the next level.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main focus of the camp is on stroke analysis and technique for starts and turns through in-depth video reviews.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They also provide elite high altitude training sessions, team building activities, nutritional education, competition preparation tools, and mental training.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UNC groups athletes according to skill level and are able to accommodate swimmers of all levels ages 8-18. UNC Swimming Camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and\/or gender).<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Elite Track<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Learn how to take your swimming to the next level with the skills and drills used by swimmers at the top NCAA and Olympic levels.\u00a0 In addition to the training and conditioning, the elite track will provide swimmers with one on one stroke technique instruction and video analysis for all four strokes as well as starts and turns.\u00a0 Swimmers will benefit from video review sessions and learn how to maximize their training with Nutrition Education, Team Building, Competition Preparation and Mental Training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Intermediate Track<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Swimmers at the intermediate level will greatly benefit from UNC&#8217;s one on one technique instruction.\u00a0 Athletes will learn about the foundation of each of the four strokes and how to apply basic technical principles to maximize their efficiency in the water.\u00a0 This is a great opportunity for swimmers at the summer league or high school level who are looking to improve for the next season.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Beginner Track<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The beginner track is focused on water safety through our learn to swim program.\u00a0 Swimmers will have experienced instructors who will teach the basic foundations of swimming.\u00a0 Lessons will be individualized so each swimmer can move at his or her own pace.
