There were a total of 19 events that the Badgers placed first in and 17 they placed second.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side,<strong>\u00a0Tazman Abramowicz<\/strong> continued to show his dominance in Big Ten Diving placing first inn both the 1M (365.45) and 3M (416.55). His 3M performance set the Northwestern pool record, the Wisconsin school record, as well as it being his first time breaking 400 as a Badger.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Phoebe Bacon<\/strong> stood out on the women&#8217;s side winning the 100 back (53.78), 200 back (1:58.39), 200 IM (1:59.95) and 400 free relay (50.02). She took first in all four of her events.<\/p>\n<p>The distance swimmers continue to control their races, especially <strong>Paige McKenna<\/strong> and <strong>Yigit Aslan<\/strong> who both won the 500 free and 1000 free. These two Badgers both won the 1000 free last weekend and Yigit also won the 500 free last weekend as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/college\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">More college news<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m proud of the way our team competed to walk away with two big wins today. Northwestern is a strong, well-coached team and we weren&#8217;t very familiar with that facility,&#8221; Wisconsin coach <strong>Yuri Suguiyama<\/strong> said. &#8220;We knew they were strong in certain events and I challenged the team to take it one race at a time and stay in it no matter what happened. We did a great job of that today. We still have a good amount of people carrying fatigue so a little bit of rest and further sharpening will put us in a good spot as we get ready for championship season.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What an exciting outing for the badger divers at Northwestern. Every member of our team struggled early on, but I couldn&#8217;t be more proud of how they responded and thought back to and with the results that they did. We&#8217;ve had some of the best scores that our kids have gotten in that added a zone cut for Kit,&#8221; Wisconsin diving coach <strong>Yahya Radman<\/strong> said. &#8220;Molly had a PR and I was very pleased with her great performance. I was also very happy to see Daniel back in competition but a special shout out goes to Tazman for remaining cool under pressure and setting a personal best as well as a pool record.
