Most notably, Holmes broke records belonging to his club team&#8217;s most famous alumni,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/carson-foster-carrying-momentum-into-blazing-sophomore-surge-for-texas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Carson Foster <\/strong><\/a>and<strong> Jake Foster<\/strong>. His times there included a 46.83 in the 100 fly, 1:42.95 in the 200 fly and 1:45.50 in the 200 IM. The 200 fly is his strongest event at this point, and that best time would have been quick enough to qualify Holmes for the NCAA Championships last season.<\/p>\n<p>Holmes is a junior, and he has not yet announced his college commitment. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimcloud.com\/recruiting\/rankings\/2023\/M\/?id=1125425\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CollegeSwimming.com<\/a>, Holmes is a top-10 recruit in the class of
