His teammate <strong>Luke Fortner<\/strong> earned men\u2019s freshman of the week honors. Hill swept the women\u2019s swimmer and freshman of the wee for a period of limited meets due to COVID-19 cancellations. Wisconsin diver <strong>Tazman Abramowicz<\/strong> was named the men\u2019s diver of the week. There was no women\u2019s diver of the week.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-ten-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big Ten Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Samuels helped the Boilermakers beat Wabash College. He won the 100 butterfly with a time of 48.66 seconds and finished second in the 100 backstroke. He also helped Purdue win the 200 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>Fortner won the men\u2019s 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke against Wabash. He joins Samuels (Nov. 24) and diver Tyler Downs (Oct. 27) in winning the award this season for Purdue.<\/p>\n<p>Hill made it a clean sweep thanks to her performances in Purdue\u2019s win over Indiana State. She won the 50 freestyle and 100 back in that event. The native of Springboro, Ohio, is Purdue\u2019s first women\u2019s swimmer of the week since 2018 (Maizie Seidl).<\/p>\n<p>Abramowicz tallied a pair of top-five finishes for Wisconsin <a href=\"https:\/\/utsports.com\/documents\/2022\/1\/6\/UT_Diving_Invite_Results.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at the Tennessee Diving Invitational<\/a>. The senior native of Calgary, Alberta, scored 379.95 points to earn runner-up status in platform diving. He also finished fifth on 3-meter and ninth on one-meter.
