In our last swim poll, we wanted to know: Will the NCAA change its requirements for participation by transgender athletes before March&#8217;s NCAA Championships?<\/p>\n<p>With the regular season coming to a close, a question on everyone&#8217;s mind is, where is the NCAA? Especially as <strong>Lia Thomas<\/strong> posts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/controversy-of-the-year-transgender-swimmer-lia-thomas-swims-fastest-times-in-the-nation\/\/\">top swim times<\/a> in the nation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/penn-parents-express-further-concerns-over-lia-thomas-competing-on-womens-team\/\/\">Parents<\/a> of the University of Pennsylvania swim team have written to the school. The Ivy League has issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ivy-league-releases-statement-supporting-lia-thomas-participation\/\/\">statement<\/a> in support of Thomas. The governing body of college athletics, however, has yet to make any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/despite-repeated-inquiries-ncaa-remains-mum-on-lia-thomas-controversy\/\">comment<\/a> on the situation at all.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the governing body&#8217;s lack of communication during the regular season, it does seem highly unlikely that any sort of change will come before championship season in March.
