NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill has received its third verbal commitment for the fall of 2023 from Junior National qualifier Michaela Chokureva<\/strong> of Andover, Mass.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Maren Conze<\/a> <\/strong>and Ava Muzzy<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0as a member of the Tar Heels\u2019 Class of 2027.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I am so beyond blessed to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill!! I would like to thank my family, friends, coaches and teammates for their endless support!! GO TAR HEELS!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Chokureva trains year-round with Phoenix Swim Club and most recently placed 21st in the 50 free and 22nd in the 100 free at the Speedo Winter East Championships last month. This past summer, she sprinted to 11th in the 50m free at West Fargo Futures before going on to compete at the Speedo Summer East meet.<\/p>\n
