NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Florida has continued to build a powerhouse recruiting class for the fall of 2023, recently landing a verbal commitment from in-state standout and Olympic Trials qualifier Julia Podkoscielny<\/strong> of Fort Lauderdale.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Catie Choate<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Alex Mitchell<\/strong><\/a>, Melissa Cowen<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Lainy Kruger<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Bella Sims<\/b><\/a>,\u00a0Grace Rainey<\/b><\/a>,\u00a0JoJo Ramey\u00a0<\/b><\/a>and\u00a0Michaela Mattes<\/b><\/a>\u00a0in Gainesville as a member of the Gators\u2019 Class of 2027.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I chose U of Florida for its outstanding education and swimming.\u00a0 I love the team, coaches and their philosophy.\u00a0 Can\u2019t wait to be on campus and fully experience being a Gator.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Podkoscielny does her club swimming with Pine Crest Swim Team and was the 400m IM runner-up at the Toyota U.S. Open where she also took third in the 200m back. This past summer, she raced three events at Wave II of Olympic Trials.<\/p>\n
