NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier\u00a0Chase Mueller\u00a0<\/strong>of Littleton, Colorado, has announced his verbal commitment to NC State University beginning in the fall of 2023.<\/p>\n

He will join Hudson Williams<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Henry Lee<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0JR Taylor<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Mitchell Ledford<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Sam Flack\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>and\u00a0Will Heck<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Raleigh as a member of the Wolfpack\u2019s Class of 2027.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI am excited to announce my commitment to North Carolina State University! This is the perfect fit for me athletically and academically, and appreciate this opportunity to become a member of the Wolfpack.\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A freestyler and backstroker, Mueller trains year-round with Foothills Swim Team and most recently earned bronze in the 200 back at the Speedo Winter West Championships where he also placed fourth in both the 100 back and 200 free.<\/p>\n

This past summer, he was the 200m back runner-up at Austin Sectionals while also collecting a trio of bronze medals. At Olympic Trials Wave I, he finished 12th in the 200m back.<\/p>\n
