NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Texas has gained a big verbal commitment for the fall of 2023 from\u00a0Nate Germonprez\u00a0<\/strong>of Omaha, Nebraska.<\/p>\n

He will join\u00a0Logan Walker<\/strong><\/a>, Will Modglin\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>and\u00a0Will Scholtz<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Austin as a member of the Longhorns\u2019 Class of 2027.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m super excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my swimming and academic career at the University of Texas at Austin. I\u2019d like to give a special thanks to Wyatt Collins and Eddie Reese for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this incredible program. I\u2019d like to give another thanks to my previous coaches including Tom and Becky, and Julie and JB for helping me become the swimmer and person I am today. HOOK\u2019EM!\u00a0\"?\"\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Germonprez does his club swimming with iNspire Swim Team and most recently won the 200 free at the Speedo Winter West Championships where he also took second in the 200 IM. This past summer, he earned bronze in the 200m IM at the Speedo Summer West Championships with three additional top-22 finishes.<\/p>\n

At Wave I of Olympic Trials, he finished sixth overall in the 100m back.<\/p>\n
