NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Florida has continued to form a loaded class for the fall of 2023, most recently receiving a verbal commitment from Olympic Trials qualifier Lainey Kruger\u00a0<\/strong>of Taylor Mill, Kentucky.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Bella Sims<\/strong><\/a>, Grace Rainey<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0JoJo Ramey\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>and\u00a0Michaela Mattes<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Gainesville as a member of the Gators\u2019 Class of 2027.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim & study at the University of Florida!! A huge thank you to my family, friends, and coaches for supporting me along the way! I can\u2019t wait to be a part of Gator Nation!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kruger, who does her club swimming with Northern Kentucky Clippers, raced the 100m free at Wave I of Olympic Trials this past summer before going on to final in six events at the Speedo Summer East Championships. Back in March, she earned silver in the 200m IM as well as bronze in the 100m\/200m free and 100m breast at the ISCA International Senior Cup.<\/p>\n
