NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Kentucky has landed their third verbal commitment for their growing class of 2027 from U.S. Open qualifier\u00a0Lance Johnson\u00a0<\/strong>of Pewaukee, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

He will join\u00a0AJ Abram<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Isaac Fleig<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Lexington in the fall of 2023.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“Beyond pumped to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic careers at the University of Kentucky!! Huge thanks to my freinds, family and coaches who surround me on a daily basis for pushing me into the athlete I am today. Cant wait to be a WILDCAT!!!!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented breaststroker and IMer, Johnson does his club swimming with Waukesha Express Swim Team and placed fourth in the 100m breast at the NCSA Championships this past summer after earning a pair of silver medals at the Wisconsin 13&O Championships. Back in March, he was the runner-up in both breaststroke events at the Wisconsin 13&O Championships and finaled in three events at NCSAs.<\/p>\n

Currently a junior at Arrowhead High School, Johnson was the bronze medalist in both the 100 breast and 200 IM at the Wisconsin DI State Championships as a sophomore.<\/p>\n
