{"id":491521,"date":"2021-11-17T20:51:01","date_gmt":"2021-11-18T03:51:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=491521"},"modified":"2021-11-17T20:51:01","modified_gmt":"2021-11-18T03:51:01","slug":"missouri-women-throw-down-a-cut-in-200-free-relay-to-lead-mizzou-invite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/missouri-women-throw-down-a-cut-in-200-free-relay-to-lead-mizzou-invite\/","title":{"rendered":"Missouri Women Throw Down A Cut in 200 Free Relay to Lead Mizzou Invite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Missouri Women Throw Down A Cut in 200 Free Relay to Lead Mizzou Invite<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The University of Missouri turned in the only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2022-ncaa-division-i-championships-qualifying-stanards\/ncaa-college\/2021\/August\/2?rtn=%2Fresults%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A cut<\/a> of the first day of the Mizzou Invitational with a 1:27.87 in the women\u2019s 200 freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<p>The Tigers\u2019 foursome of <strong>Amy Feddersen, Megan Keil, Sierra Smith<\/strong> and <strong>Sarah Thompson<\/strong> clocked in at 1:27.87, an improvement of nearly a second over its prelims time. The four were about as precise as could be, with Keil and Smith both hitting reaction times of +0.00.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mutigers.com\/documents\/2021\/11\/17\/Day_1_results.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RESULTS<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The four relay participants went on to take the top four spots in the 50 free. (Fifth was <strong>Ashley Gill,<\/strong> who led off Mizzou\u2019s second-place relay.) Thompson won the event in 21.81. Keil (22.11) and Feddersen (22.30) followed, all in NCAA B cuts. Thompson and Feddersen teamed with <strong>Meredith Rees<\/strong> and <strong>Kayla Jones<\/strong> for a B cut of 3:33.50 in the 400 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jack Dubois<\/strong> added a B cut in the 500 free, winning in 4:18.08. <strong>Danny Kovac<\/strong> went 1:42.39 in the men\u2019s 200 IM, the first of four Tigers to earn B cuts.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri won both men\u2019s relays in NCAA B cuts. The 200 free relay (<strong>Kevin Hammer, Jack Dahlgren,<\/strong> Kovac, <strong>Alex Moore<\/strong>) finished in 1:17.19, just .12 off an A cut, and the 400 medley relay (Dahlgren, <strong>Ben Patton,<\/strong> Kovac, <strong>Grant Bochenski<\/strong>) went 3:06.78.<\/p>\n<h4>Mizzou Invite Team Scores<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Women<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Missouri 429.5<\/li>\n<li>Nebraska 244<\/li>\n<li>Wyoming 203.5<\/li>\n<li>California Baptist 108<\/li>\n<li>San Jose State 70<\/li>\n<li>BYU 33<\/li>\n<li>North Carolina 32<\/li>\n<li>Iowa State 13<\/li>\n<li>Louisville 9<\/li>\n<li>Northern Iowa 4<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Men<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Missouri 473.5<\/li>\n<li>California Baptist 232<\/li>\n<li>Wyoming 142.50<\/li>\n<li>Missouri S&amp;T 120<\/li>\n<li>North Carolina 48<\/li>\n<li>BYU 26<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Autumn Haebig<\/strong> was the only non-Missouri winner on the women\u2019s side, taking the 500 free in 4:44.04 for Nebraska. Missouri\u2019s <strong>Allison Bloebaum<\/strong> and <strong>Abbey Taute<\/strong> followed, with the top three all earning B cuts. San Jose State\u2019s <strong>Zsofia Musznay<\/strong> won the B final in 4:47.13, a B cut after she dropped nearly nine seconds from prelims.<\/p>\n<p>On the men\u2019s side, <strong>Remi Fabiani<\/strong> of California Baptist won the 50 free in 19.46, an NCAA B cut. Dahlgren was .02 back in second.<\/p>\n<p>North Carolina went 1-2 in men\u2019s diving, with <strong>Anton Down Jenkins<\/strong> leading the way with 396.05 points in 1-meter. Teammate <strong>Alexander Hart<\/strong> was second. In the women\u2019s 3-meter, BYU\u2019s <strong>Kennedy Cribbs<\/strong> topped the field with 333.00. <strong>Melissa Mirafuentes Santilon<\/strong> of Wyoming was
