I didn\u2019t swim as well as yesterday, I felt a bit tired.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My swimming wasn\u2019t perfect but I\u2019m happy for Szabo and his world record as he is a great guy. I\u2019m also happy for Thomas to win the bronze.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It means a lot to have two Italians on the podium \u2013 a veteran and a \u2018younger lion\u2019 like Thomas. It is a great incentive for the World Championships.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Of his performance, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Today I couldn\u2019t have asked for more than a silver. This was not a race I expected to win. I\u2019m really happy to share the podium with my team-mates from ISL.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Immediately after the final I rushed to swim the 100m IM semis but I was just too tired, I tried but I couldn\u2019t make it. All in all, I\u2019m still satisfied as I gave all I had today.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For me, all these races are competitions but also training and\u00a0 I\u2019d like to peak in this short-course season in Abu Dhabi (short-course worlds).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These two medals are my first individual podiums at international meets which makes me extremely proud.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What\u2019s the most important that I know I\u2019m doing a good job, we are working a lot and I enjoy what I do and hope to be on the right track.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FLASH!
