{"id":490575,"date":"2021-11-04T09:06:16","date_gmt":"2021-11-04T16:06:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=490575"},"modified":"2021-11-04T09:22:21","modified_gmt":"2021-11-04T16:22:21","slug":"isl-sets-new-date-for-season-3-final-in-eindhoven","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/isl-sets-new-date-for-season-3-final-in-eindhoven\/","title":{"rendered":"ISL Sets New Date For Season 3 Final in Eindhoven"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ISL Sets New Date For Season 3 Final in Eindhoven<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/international-swimming-league\">International Swimming League<\/a> is pleased to announce that the ISL Season 3 Final will take place on 3-4 December 2021\u00a0at the Pieter van den Hoogenband Zwemstadion, in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>Following the ISL Season 3 Play-offs, to be held from 11 to 28 November, the four best ISL teams will compete in the\u00a0Season 3 Final match on Friday, 3 December and Saturday, 4 December, when the ISL Season 3 Champions will be crowned.<\/p>\n<p>The competitions will be held at the legendary Pieter van den Hoogenband Zwemstadion, Antoon Coolenlaan 1, Eindhoven, from\u00a019:00\u00a0 to \u00a021:00 CET\u00a0on both days.<\/p>\n<p>Alderman <strong>Stijn Steenbakkers<\/strong>: \u201cThe swimming capital of the Netherlands lives up to its name. \u00a0In addition to the Play-offs, which will already provide a lot of excitement, fans will also be able to attend the International Swimming League Season 3 Final. \u00a0It will most definitely be a beautiful swimming show which will delight swimming fans of all generations \u2013 a truly unique opportunity to see their favorite champions in action. \u00a0We are really proud to host the ISL Final.\u00a0 We would also like to thank our local swimming clubs for their help and collaboration, without which this event would not be possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Harold Matla<\/strong>: \u201cOn behalf of PSV Zwemsporten and the swimming clubs in Eindhoven we want to welcome the ISL Season 3 Final to our city. \u00a0We are happy that, in the spirit of good cooperation among all stakeholders, the clubs were able to assist the City of Eindhoven in finding creative solutions and making this event possible. Founded in 2018, the league currently consists of 10 teams based in North America (Cali Condors, DC Trident, LA Current, NY Breakers and Toronto Titans), Europe (Italy-based Aqua Centurions, Energy Standard, Hungary-based Iron, and the UK-based London Roar) and Asia (Tokyo Frog Kings).<\/p>\n<p>ISL Season 3 will take place in three phases, with Naples, Italy, first playing host to the 10 ISL clubs in a five-week regular season from 26 August to 30 September. This will be followed by a Play-off phase of three weeks in November, which will bring together the top eight ISL Clubs to compete for a spot in the ISL Final.
