LOS ANGELES, California, January 31. THREE wins by Ting Quah couldn\u2019t help the UCLA women\u2019s team beat Stanford at home today, as the Bruins fell to the Cardinal with a score of 180-120.<\/p>\n
Quah, a senior who swam in the championship final of the 100 fly at last season\u2019s NCAAs, won the 200 free over Stanford star freshman Lia Neal, 1:48.51 to 1:48.65. She came back to take the 100 free with a 50.51, taking advantage of the absence of Neal and Stanford\u2019s other top sprinter, Maddy Schaefer, in the event. Quah wrapped up her meet with a 54.00 in the 100 fly ahead of Nicole Stafford\u2019s 54.51.<\/p>\n
Quah\u2019s victories were the only ones for UCLA today. Some of the top swimmers for the Cardinal handily won their events, though UCLA was able to keep Stanford from putting up too many 1-2 finishes. Stanford\u2019s Felicia Lee won two events today, posting a superb 53.35 in the 100 back and and 1:56.75 in the 200 back.<\/p>\n

A 1-2 finish by Schaefer and Neal in the 50 free with times of 22.85 and 23.08;<\/p>\n
1:57.77 from Maya DiRado in the 200 fly;<\/p>\n
A double win from Andie Taylor, as she took the 1000 free in 9:50.44 and the 500 free in 4:50.62;<\/p>\n
A 1-2 finish from Katie Olson and Sarah Haase in both breaststroke events. Olson won the 100 in 1:01.19 and the 200 with a 2:12.61, while Haase was second with times of 1:01.92 and 2:17.14.<\/p>\n
