NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Olympic Trials qualifier\u00a0Macky Hodges\u00a0<\/strong>of Ladera Ranch, California, has given the University of Southern California their first early verbal commitment for the fall of 2023.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am so beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Southern California. So thankful for my coaches, friends, and family for all the love and support. Can’t wait for the next chapter of my life as a Trojan. Fight On\u203c\ufe0f\u270c\ufe0f”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented backstroker and freestyler, Hodges does her club swimming with Mission Viejo Nadadores and competed in the 200m free at Wave II of Olympic Trials back in June. She most recently finaled in the 100m free at the Speedo Summer West Championships.<\/p>\n

Back in the spring, Hodges earned bronze in the 100m back at the 18&U Spring Cup in Irvine where she also posted three additional top-8 finishes.<\/p>\n
