Second was UNLV with 1,233.5, followed by TCU (1,098) and UC San Diego (982).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/usctrojans.com\/documents\/2021\/10\/16\/USC_Invite_Final_Results_with_Splits_Scores.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The power came from the Trojans\u2019 sweep of <a href=\"https:\/\/usctrojans.com\/news\/2021\/10\/16\/womens-swimming-diving-uscs-transom-sheridan-miljenic-and-sancov-win-twice-each-during-victory-at-usc-swim-invitational.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">all 17 women\u2019s events<\/a>. USC won the four relays with the same foursome of Transom, Sheridan, <strong>Kaitlyn Dobler<\/strong> and <strong>Anicka Delgado<\/strong>. They booked three NCAA A cuts in the process, starting with a 3:29.70 in the 400 medley relay on Friday. They also earned passage to NCAAs in the 200 free relay (1:28.00) and 200 medley (1:36.01).<\/p>\n<p>Sheridan, the redshirt senior transfer from Northwestern, won the 200 individual medley, 400 IM and 200 butterfly. <strong>Isabelle Odgers<\/strong> was second in both IMs before winning the 200 breaststroke, and <strong>Nicole Pavlopoulou<\/strong> was third behind Odgers in all three events.<\/p>\n<p>Transome showed her freestyle versatility by winning the 50 free, 100 free and 200 free. Second in the latter event was <strong>Marlene Kahler,<\/strong> who won the 500 and 1,650. Dobler won the 100 breast and was second in the 50 free and 200 breast. Her time of 57.95 in the 100 breast was the only individual A cut of the meet. Delgado, the fourth member of the relay quartet, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/olympic-dream-leads-uscs-anicka-delgado-to-scratch-ncaas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">won the<\/a> 100 fly, was second in the 100 free and third in the 50.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jade Hannah<\/strong> swept the backstroke events for USC. <strong>Makenna Turner<\/strong> was second in both fly events.<\/p>\n<p>San Diego was paced by <strong>Juli Arzave<\/strong>, who finished second in the mile and third in the 500 free. Teammate Alana Barthel was second in the 200 back.<\/p>\n<p>UNLV\u2019s <strong>Kate Afanasyeva<\/strong> finished second in the 100 back. She also led off the Rebels\u2019 400 free relay that finished third, the only non-USC top-3 finisher among the women\u2019s relays. <strong>Rylee Moore<\/strong> of TCU was third in both backstroke events for the Horned Frogs\u2019 best female result. The times rank third in program history in the 100 and sixth in the 200.<\/p>\n<p>On the men\u2019s side of the Trojan Invitational, <strong>Nikola Miljenic<\/strong> led the way with three individual wins; he and <strong>Artem Selin<\/strong> were also part of winning 200 free, 200 medley and 400 free relays. Miljenic, a Croatian Olympian this summer in Tokyo, won the 50 free (ahead of Selin), the 100 fly and 100 free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alexei Sancov<\/strong> also won two events on Saturday, claiming the 200 free and 200 fly. The latter came in a 1-2-3 finish just ahead of teammate <strong>Harry Homans,<\/strong> who won the 200 IM on Friday and was third in the 400 IM. USC swept the breaststroke events, with <strong>Trent Pellini<\/strong> winning the 100 and <strong>Ben Dillard<\/strong> in the 200. Dillard was second in the 100 breast and 200 IM. <strong>Evangelos Makrygiannis<\/strong> won the 100 back, and <strong>Victor Johansson<\/strong> was second in the three distance freestyle events for the Trojans.<\/p>\n<p>TCU\u2019s <strong>Geremia Freri<\/strong> had the most impressive individual outing of the men\u2019s meet, winning the 500 free, 400 IM and 1,650 free. <a href=\"https:\/\/gofrogs.com\/news\/2021\/10\/16\/swimming-and-diving-freri-shatters-two-school-records-in-final-day-of-usc-invitational.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">He shattered the school record in the mile<\/a>, his time of 15:04.35 destroying the mark of 15:23.38 set in 2012 by <strong>Michael Franz<\/strong>. (He added the 1,000 record with his split of 9:08.84.) On Friday, he\u2019d taken down <strong>Joao Andrade\u2019s<\/strong> 2018 record in the 400 by 4.66 seconds with his time of 4:17.71. He was within .03 of the mark in the 400 IM.<\/p>\n<p>The Horned Frogs also won the 400 medley relay, which featured a pair of DQs. The squad there included <strong>Stefan Varga, Vitauts Silins<\/strong> (third in 200 breast), <strong>Piotr Sadlowski<\/strong> (second in 100 fly) and <strong>Raphael Pavia Da<\/strong> (second in 100 free).<\/p>\n<p>The only other event win was courtesy of UNLV\u2019s <strong>Panos Bolanos,<\/strong> who claimed the 200 back in 1:44.01, well ahead of UC San Diego\u2019s <strong>Tyler James.<\/strong> Bolanos was also second in the 100 back. <strong>Dominik Bujak<\/strong> (400 IM) and <strong>Adnan Beji<\/strong> (200 breast) added runner-up results for the
