She then clocked in at 2:05.86 to lead the way in the 200 IM, followed by teammates <strong>Mackenzie Duarte<\/strong> and <strong>Lauren Burckel.<\/strong> That gave Washington State the cushion to just need a second place in the culminating 400 freestyle relay to clinch the win. The foursome of <strong>Chloe Larson, Paige Gardner, Hailey Grotte<\/strong> and <strong>Angela Di<\/strong> <strong>Palo<\/strong> got it done by finishing a safe second.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noelle Harvey<\/strong> started it for the Cougars by winning the 1,000 free, then the freshman finished second in the 500 free. Burckel won the 100 breaststroke and was second in the 200 breast, part of another crucial 1-2-3 with Duarte in first and <strong>Alexandra Vartiainen<\/strong> third.<\/p>\n<p>Larson won <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/chloe-larson-re-sets-50-free-pool-record-as-washington-state-downs-idaho\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the 50 free<\/a>, then finished second to Di Palo in the 100 free. The freshman Di Palo was also second in the 200 free.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona bookended the meet with relay wins in the 200 medley and 400 free. <strong>Amalie Mortensen<\/strong> won the 200 free and 500 free. <strong>Julia Heimstead<\/strong> won the 200 fly and then paced a 1-2-3 finish in the 100 fly to mount a late-meet charge, with <strong>Madeline Burt<\/strong> and <strong>Felicity Passon.<\/strong> She was also on both winning relays along with Grace Anderson (second in the 50 free, third in the 100 free). <strong>Aria Bernal<\/strong> won the 100
