The Longhorns cruised to comfortable victories in both meets, and a highlight performer was Olympic silver medalist <strong>Erica Sullivan<\/strong>, who competed in her first college meet and dominated the 1000 and 500 freestyle.<\/p>\n<p>Sullivan swam a 9:44.97 in the 1000 free to win by almost 20 seconds, and she also won the 500 free in 4:55.05. Also excelling for the <a href=\"https:\/\/texassports.com\/news\/2021\/10\/8\/womens-swimming-and-diving-womens-swimming-diving-thrive-at-dust-your-boots-off-invitational.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Longhorns<\/a> was <strong>Kelly Pash<\/strong>, who anchored the Longhorns&#8217; 200 medley relay to a win in 1:39.96 before winning the 200 free (1:47.11) and 100 fly (52.72).\u00a0<strong>Julia Cook<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ellie Andrews<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Emma Sticklen<\/strong> joined Pash on that 200 free relay. Later on, the group of\u00a0<strong>Grace Cooper<\/strong>, Cook,\u00a0<strong>Kyla Leibel<\/strong> and Pash posted the top time in the 200 free relay (1:31.34).<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere for Texas,\u00a0<strong>Olivia Bray<\/strong> won the 100 back (53.14), and\u00a0<strong>Emma Sticklen<\/strong> swam a quick 1:56.24 to win the 200 fly.\u00a0<strong>Evie Pfeifer<\/strong> had by far the fastest time in the 400 IM with her 4:16.22.<\/p>\n<p>For the Texas <a href=\"https:\/\/texassports.com\/news\/2021\/10\/8\/mens-swimming-and-diving-mens-swim-and-dive-win-season-opener-against-incarnate-word.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">men<\/a>,\u00a0<strong>Carson Foster<\/strong> made a rare appearance in the 1000 free and took first in 8:59.93, and he also won the 400 IM in 3:46.15, while older brother<strong> Jake<\/strong> won the 200 breast in 1:58.88. Meanwhile, U.S. Olympian\u00a0<strong>Drew Kibler<\/strong> swam the 200 back and 100 fly in this meet instead of his standard freestyle events (after he missed the Texas men&#8217;s intrasquad two weeks ago), and he won the 200 back in 1:46.69 before finishing second to freshman teammate\u00a0<strong>Tim Connery<\/strong> in the 100 fly (48.08 to 48.67).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pete Larson<\/strong> took first for Texas in the 100 back (49.63) and 500 free (4:31.12), and after an impressive start to the season in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/carson-foster-pops-pair-of-quick-times-as-texas-opens-with-orange-white-meet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the intrasquad meet<\/a>,\u00a0<strong>Coby Carrozza<\/strong> won the 200 free in 1:37.08. In diving,\u00a0<strong>Jordan Windle<\/strong> was victorious in one-meter (449.63) and three-meter (486.30).<\/p>\n<p>Texas defeated Incarnate Word in the women&#8217;s meet 212-81, and the men were
