Performing a quickstep with his partner, <strong>Katya Jones<\/strong>, Peaty earned a score of 19 out of 40. Peaty and Jones danced to the song, \u201cAre You Gonna Be My Girl,\u201d and will now rely on fan voting to keep them in the competition for another week.<\/p>\n<p>After <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/olympics-adam-peaty-defends-100-breaststroke-gold-arno-kamminga-gets-silver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">capturing a second straight gold medal in the 100-meter breaststroke<\/a> during the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Peaty was announced as one of the celebrity contestants on the popular show, which is broadcast by the BBC. Peaty noted that the invitation to compete was a challenge, and an opportunity to take part in a different competitive world.<\/p>\n<p>Peaty and Jones have spent several weeks practicing and preparing for the start of the show, and now are assigned a specific dance each week that is performed on Saturday night. Peaty\u2019s first dance was a Cha-Cha, and he surprised fans with a breakout effort that revealed he can move on land, as well as in the water. While his second dance was more of a struggle, celebrities new to the dancing world will experience ups and downs while taking part in a new realm.<\/p>\n<p>With Peaty focused on his reality-television gig, he has been absent from the third season of the International Swimming League. Peaty is on the roster of the London Roar, which will resume competition when the ISL playoffs begin next month in Eindhoven.<\/p>\n<p>During his latest dance, Peaty wore gray trousers, a plaid shirt, glasses, a bow tie and suspenders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Adam Peaty Goes With School Boy Look in Second Effort on Dancing Show;
