NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Wisconsin has received their third verbal commitment for the fall of 2022 from U.S. Open qualifier Charlie Jones\u00a0<\/strong>of New Bern, North Carolina.<\/p>\n

He will join\u00a0Michael Long<\/strong><\/a> and\u00a0Zach Ward<\/a><\/strong> as a member of the Badgers\u2019 Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Wisconsin! Thank you to my friends, family, coaches, teammates, and anyone else who has helped me get to where I am in my career. Could not have done it without you! #GoBadgers\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented freestyler and butterflyer, Jones trains year-round with East Carolina Aquatics and won four events at the ECSL Championships after placing sixth in the mile at Cary Sectionals. He also earned six best times at the 18&U Winter Championships back in December.<\/p>\n
