The University of Texas and Cal-Berkeley are tied for the highest-attended universities among this year\u2019s roster with 11 current, former and incoming athletes attending each school.<\/p>\n<p>Decorated names such as <strong>Nathan Adrian <\/strong>(Bremerton, Wash.\/California Aquatics\/Westside Aquaducks) and <strong>Allison Schmitt <\/strong>(Canton, Mich.\/Sun Devil Swimming) headline the roster with the 14<sup>th<\/sup> and 12<sup>th<\/sup> National Team selections of their careers, respectively, dating back to 2008. Other decorated talents to make this year\u2019s roster include <strong>Matt Grevers <\/strong>(Lake Forest, Ill.\/Jim Click Team Elite, Inc.), <strong>Katie Ledecky <\/strong>(Bethesda, Md.\/Nation\u2019s Capital\/Alto Swim Club) and <strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> (Green Cove Springs, Fla.\/Gator Swim Club). Grevers is the oldest member of this year\u2019s National Team at age 36.<\/p>\n<p>Among the 34 USA Swimming athletes selected to their first U.S. National Team are Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 gold medalists <strong>Lydia Jacoby<\/strong> (Seward, Alaska\/Seward Tsunami Swim Club\/NLSC), <strong>Hunter Armstrong <\/strong>(Dover, Ohio\/Ohio State University\/CCS), <strong>Bowe Becker <\/strong>(Las Vegas, Nev.\/Sandpipers of Nevada\/Minnesota) and <strong>Brooks Curry <\/strong>(Dunwoody, Ga.\/Louisiana State University\/Dynamo). <strong>Katie Grimes<\/strong> (Las Vegas, Nev.\/Sandpipers of Nevada) is the youngest athlete on this year\u2019s National Team roster at age 15.<\/p>\n<p>Current members of the U.S. Open Water National Team will hold their distinctions through October 31, 2021. The Open Water National Team currently features 13 athletes based on U.S. representatives at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 10K race and top five finishes at the 2021 Open Water National Championships.<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming\u00a0 USA Swimming Open Water National Team, which will be active from November 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022, will consist of <strong>Haley Anderson<\/strong> (Granite Bay, Calif.\/Mission Viejo Nadadores), <strong>Ashley Twichell <\/strong>(Fayetteville, N.Y.\/TAC Titans) and <strong>Jordan Wilimovsky <\/strong>(Malibu, Calif.\/Kswim) after they swam the 10K at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
