He touched the wall in 46.68.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto\u2019s <strong>Blake Pieroni<\/strong> was just behind in 46.72 to finish second. DC Trident\u2019s <strong>Aleksandr Shchegolev<\/strong> took third in 47.03 ahead of LA\u2019s <strong>Brett Pinfold<\/strong> (47.12).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s 200 Butterfly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Team Iron got its first win of the day as<strong> Alys Thomas<\/strong> touched the wall in 2:06.00 in the women\u2019s 200 butterfly.<\/p>\n<p>She finished more than a second ahead of DC Trident\u2019s <strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos<\/strong>, who finished second in 2:07.12.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto\u2019s <strong>Laura Stephens<\/strong> took third in 2:07.39, ahead of DC\u2019s <strong>Klaudia Nazieblo<\/strong> (2:07.45).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men\u2019s 200 Butterfly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LA Current\u2019s <strong>Tom Shields<\/strong> earned his second victory of the meet, winning the 200 fly in 1:51.28.<\/p>\n<p>Shields was more than a half second ahead of DC Trident\u2019s<strong> Zach Harting<\/strong> in 1:51.99.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto\u2019s <strong>Alberto Razzetti<\/strong> finished third in 1:52.99.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s 100 Backstroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LA Current\u2019s<strong> Ingrid Wilm<\/strong> earned some major ISL jackpot points in her 100 backstroke victory. Wilm won the race in 55.68 and earned 19 points, taking the jackpot points from the bottom four competitors in the race. It also was a Canadian record.<\/p>\n<p>DC Trident\u2019s <strong>Ali DeLoof<\/strong> was second in 55.89, ahead of Toronto\u2019s <strong>Kylie Masse<\/strong> (55.95) and <strong>Lisa Bratton<\/strong> (57.30), the only swimmers to keep their own points in the race. DeLoof&#8217;s time was the second-fastest short course time in U.S. history behind <strong>Olivia Smolig<\/strong>a&#8217;s 55.04.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men\u2019s 100 Backstroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While the women\u2019s 100 backstroke saw some huge jackpot points, the men\u2019s race was very close with no jackpot points.<\/p>\n<p>Team Iron\u2019s <strong>Robert Glinta<\/strong> won the race in 50.090, finishing ahead of Toronto\u2019s <strong>Shane Ryan<\/strong> (50.43) and LA\u2019s duo of <strong>Javier Acevedo<\/strong> (50.60) and <strong>Apostolos Christou<\/strong> (50.79).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s 100 IM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LA Current went 1-2 to score 17 points in the 100 IM. A<strong>nastasia Gorbenko<\/strong> won the race in 58.08 to hold off teammate <strong>Beryl Gastaldello<\/strong> (58.21).<\/p>\n<p>The Toronto Titans took the next two spots as <strong>Kayla Sanchez<\/strong> finished third in 58.48 and<strong> Louise Hansson<\/strong> was fourth in 58.52.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men\u2019s 100 IM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Team Iron\u2019s <strong>Marco Orsi<\/strong> earned 12 points with some jackpot points to win the 100 IM in 51.32.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto\u2019s <strong>Finlay Knox<\/strong> was second in 51.82, ahead of LA\u2019s <strong>Tomoe Hvas<\/strong> (52.10) and Team Iron\u2019s <strong>Leonardo Santos<\/strong> (52.13).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s 100 Breaststroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>DC Trident went 1-2 in the women\u2019s 100 breaststroke with <strong>Tatiana Belonogoff<\/strong> winning in 1:05.16 and <strong>Maria Temnikova<\/strong> took second in 1:05.40.<\/p>\n<p>Team Iron\u2019s<strong> Ida Hulkko<\/strong> was third in 1:05.45 ahead of LA\u2019s <strong>Imogen Clark<\/strong> (1:05.97).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men\u2019s 100 Breaststroke<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Toronto\u2019s <strong>Fabian Schwingenschlogl<\/strong> won the 100 breaststroke in 56.93 to finish ahead of a pair of Trident swimmers.<\/p>\n<p>DC\u2019s <strong>Felipe Franca Silva<\/strong> took second in 57.45 ahead of teammate <strong>Cody Miller<\/strong> (57.51) and Team Iron\u2019s <strong>Emre Sakci<\/strong> (57.95).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s 50 Butterfly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Team Iron went 1-2 in the women\u2019s 50 butterfly with <strong>Ranomi Kromowidjojo<\/strong> winning in 24.81 and <strong>Emilie Beckmann<\/strong> taking second in 24.57.<\/p>\n<p>Team Iron scored 19 points with the duo, plus the jackpot points in the event.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto\u2019s <strong>Louise Hansson<\/strong> took third in 24.59.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men\u2019s 50 Butterfly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Team Iron made it two wins in a row as <strong>Nicholas Santos<\/strong> touched the wall in 22.28, earning 12 points.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto\u2019s <strong>Marius Kusch<\/strong> was second in 22.32, ahead of LA\u2019s <strong>Tom Shields<\/strong> (22.57).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s 200 Freestyle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LA Current\u2019s <strong>Madison Wilson<\/strong> earned victory int he 200 free, touching the wall in 1:53.77.<\/p>\n<p>She finished ahead of a Team Iron duo as<strong> Barbora Seemanova<\/strong> took second (1:53.98) and <strong>Veronika Andrusenko<\/strong> was third (1:55.48).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men\u2019s 200 Freestyle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>DC Trident\u2019s <strong>Aleksandr Shchegolev<\/strong> won the 200 free in 1:42.26, finishing ahead of LA Current\u2019s <strong>Martin Malyutin<\/strong> (1:42.58) and teammate <strong>Fernando Scheffer<\/strong> (1:42.89).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mixed 400 Medley Relay<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The LA Current claimed the first relay victory of the Day 2 of ISL Match 5 by winning the mixed 400 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingrid Wilm, Christopher Rothbauer, Tom Shields<\/strong> and <strong>Abbey Weitzeil<\/strong> won the event in 3:34.14.<\/p>\n<p>The DC Trident finished second with <strong>Ali DeLoof, Felipe Franca Silva, Zach Harting<\/strong> and <strong>Anna Hopkin<\/strong> finishing in 3:35.85.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto\u2019s <strong>Kylie Masse, Fabian Schwingenschlogl, Marius Kusch<\/strong> and <strong>Kayla Sanchez<\/strong> took third in 3:36.92.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Team Scores Heading into Final Four Events of ISL Match 5<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Toronto Titans \u2013 426<\/li>\n<li>LA Current \u2013 411.5<\/li>\n<li>DC Trident \u2013 374.5<\/li>\n<li>Iron \u2013 291<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s 400 IM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>DC Trident\u2019s<strong> Bailey Andison<\/strong> earned a convincing victory in the women\u2019s 400 IM, touching the wall first in 4:26.39. She earned 16 jackpot points in the event.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto continued its strong meet going 2-3 with <strong>Summer McIntosh<\/strong> taking second (4:29.81) and <strong>Tessa Cieplucha<\/strong> taking third (4:31.07).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men\u2019s 400 IM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Toronto Titans got another win in the final non-skins event of the match in the men\u2019s 400 IM. <strong>Alberto Razzetti<\/strong> won the event in 4:01.57.<\/p>\n<p>LA Current\u2019s <strong>Tomoe Hvas<\/strong> took second in 4:02.85, followed by Toronto\u2019s <strong>Max Litchfield<\/strong> (4:05.71) and DC\u2019s <strong>Andreas<\/strong> <strong>Vazaios<\/strong> (4:06.68).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s 50 Butterfly Skins<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Toronto\u2019s <strong>Louise Hansson<\/strong> won the 50 butterfly skins. Hansson won the first round in 25.19, then 25.86 in the second round and 26.27 in the final round.<\/p>\n<p>Hansson held off Team Iron\u2019s <strong>Ranomi Kromowidjojo<\/strong> in each stage.
