FINIS Recognizes Nine Sponsored Paralympians, Named Official Smart Goggle of Swim.com Masters Swimming<\/strong><\/p>\n

FINIS on Thursday made a pair of announcements, first recognizing the accomplishments of its nine sponsored athletes from the recently completed Paralympics<\/a>. It also has an agreement with Swim.com Masters Swimming to be the organization\u2019s official smart goggle.<\/p>\n

Athletes sponsored by FINIS returned seven gold and eight total medals from the Paralympics, led by the four golds from Belarus\u2019s Ihar Boki.<\/strong> FINIS also sponsors American Mallory Weggemann,<\/strong> who won two gold and one silver medal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m proud to congratulate all of our Team FINIS 2020 Tokyo Summer Paralympic athletes,\u201d John Mix,<\/strong> Founder and CEO of FINIS Inc., said in a press release<\/a>. \u201cThe road to this year\u2019s Games has been filled with so much uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout it all, our Team FINIS Paralympic athletes have shown up and trained even in the most unusual circumstances. Their perseverance and dedication to the sport are truly inspirational. FINIS is honored to support their extraordinary journeys in and out of the pool.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew there would be a lot of factors out of my control while abroad as we navigated these Games,\u201d Weggemann said. \u201cOne of the most important elements was to focus on what I can control so I packed my FINIS Smart Goggles to allow me to stay focused in my final preparations and take my training into my own hands as I communicated with my coach back in the States. While there were challenges with being a world away, leaning on technology really allowed me to stay connected to my community back home and that allowed me to feel the strength of their support as it propelled me forward in my races.\u201d<\/p>\n

As part of Thursday\u2019s announcement, FINIS also announced it is partnering with Swim.com to make the FINIS Smart Goggle its official smart goggle. Swim.com is the accredited training program for U.S. Masters Swimming. Wider adoption of the Smart Goggle will allow Masters swimmers to interact and share workout results more widely and easily.<\/p>\n
