The Italian city is serving as host for the ISL regular season, with 11 matches scheduled. Once the regular season concludes at the end of September, the league will take a break before resuming with playoff action in Eindhoven in November.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday and Friday, Energy Standard, the Season One champion, will battle with the London Roar, Team Iron and the New York Breakers. The Roar and Iron will be making their Season Three debuts after sitting out Week One competition. Energy Standard won its opener, with Sweden\u2019s <strong>Sarah Sjostrom<\/strong> claiming MVP honors.<\/p>\n<p>The London Roar is expected to be stronger than last season, when the COVID-19 pandemic left the franchise without most of its Australian stars. This season, London should receive a boost from its Down Under talent, including <strong>Emma McKeon<\/strong> and <strong>Kyle<\/strong> <strong>Chalmers<\/strong>, who will eventually join the team.\u00a0McKeon is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/olympics-emma-mckeon-ties-female-olympic-record-with-seven-medals-in-tokyo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">coming off a seven-medal haul at the Olympic Games<\/a> in Tokyo, where she won individual gold medals in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle.<\/p>\n<p>Team Iron will open its season behind captain <strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> and Olympic champion <strong>Kristof Milak<\/strong>, who left the Tokyo Games with gold in the 200 butterfly and a silver medal in the 100 butterfly.<\/p>\n<p>In the weekend match, the Cali Condors return to action following a dominant performance in their season opener. The Condors soared last weekend, scoring more than 700 points as <strong>Coleman Stewart<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/flash-coleman-stewart-set-100-backstroke-world-record-at-isl-match-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">broke the world record in the 100 backstroke<\/a> and <strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> looked strong after his five-gold showing at the Olympics.<\/p>\n<p>In their second meet, the Condors will battle with the L.A. Current, the D.C. Trident and the Aqua Centurions.<\/p>\n<p>The third match, featuring Energy Standard, the London Roar, Team Iron and the New York Breakers, will be broadcast on the CBS Sports Network. The fourth match, headlined by the Cali Condors, will be available through the ISL website and the <a href=\"https:\/\/isl.global\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">league\u2019s streaming
